Captain Mail is a fun educational packet personally addressed to kids and delivered to their mailbox. Each packet includes an educational letter, an activity sheet, and a correlating papercraft 3D toy, along with other surprises to enhance each theme. Our content is powered by Encyclopedia Britannica Kids and each educational packet is crafted by children’s literacy experts.

Furthermore, we strive to help facilitate through Captain Mail an attachment enhancing exercise to encourage healthy (emotional) attachment between children and caregivers rather than simply educating (intellectual) achievement, which comes as a by-product of secure attachment anyway.

Based on your Capitan Mail plan, your child will receive their Captain Mail packet either weekly, every two weeks or monthly. The frequency of how often you receive your packet can be changed at any time!

Captain Mail educational packets are perfect for ages 5+. We suggest that you do it with your child during the younger years. That way they continue with the tradition on their own in the future.

In reality every kid is different and the age range is just a recommendation and we leave it to the parents' discretion to decide if their kids are ready for our packets.

We currently have three different plans to choose from:

• Weekly Plan - Receive 4 Packets a month (Billed at $18/month) - Cancel anytime
• Every 2 Weeks Plan - Receive 2 Packets a month (Billed at $11/month) - Cancel anytime
• Monthly Plan - Receive 1 Packet a month (Billed at $6.50/month) - Cancel anytime

Please note we also offer sibling kits, where you can add up to 4 letters and 4 toys in a single packet for an additional $3 per extra kit.

Younger children will need support with reading the content. However, we suggest you do it with your child at the younger stages so that you can build a special bond and instill a lifetime love of learning. As your child’s reading skills improve, he or she will be excited to read Captain Mail packets alone.

Throughout our development process, we have collaborated closely with a panel of parents and educators who have direct experience working with children in our target age range. We also test our packets directly with children and incorporate their feedback to ensure maximum fun and engagement. All of our written content is provided by our award-winning partner Encyclopedia Britannica Kids.

Our Customer Care Team can also update the address for you. Please email us at help@captainmailkids.com and tell us your name, child's name, current address on file and new address. Once we receive this information, we will update the address for the next weekly mailing.

Another way you can update the address information is by logging into your online customer account and doing the following:

2) Enter your updated address and any other relevant information.

Our plans make for a wonderful gift! Simply enter the gift recipient’s shipping information at check out and check off that it is a gift. You will be given the option to enter the parent’s email address along with a personalized gift message.

Once enrolled, your Captain Mail plan will start and your child will receive their first pack within just a few business days, if delivered in the United States. Delivery may take longer for our international shipping.

Yes, we ship anywhere that the United States Postal Service is available to ship to. Please note that all of our content is in English. Shipping is FREE for all U.S. domestic customers. For international shipping there will be an additional cost of $1.50 per letter, or $2.80 with an additional sibling packet.
